I have lived in a kennel my entire life, and I am spayed after having a couple litters of pups in my life. My story is this...the neighbor is posting this about me for my "Grandmom" who has been caring for me. My Dad is an alcoholic and doesn't take good care of me. They love me but this is my life. Out in the backyard inside a small kennel. It's not the best life, but it's not the worst. My Grandmom has had open heart surgery recently and her health is deteriorating. She knows my Dad won't take care of me like he should. She wants me to find a good home, one that will let me have some space to roam. She can't take care of me well either with her own health issues, and if something happens to her...well...then what? I know big dogs are hard to find homes for, but I'm super sweet, I love everyone, I'm just a little bit shy until I realize you aren't going to hurt me then I'm happy to jump all over you like you are my best friend! As far as my health is concerned, well I've been spayed...that's about it. I've not had much at all done with me to tell you the truth. I don't know if I have heartworm, or any type of prevention, probably not...I know this is the story with many dogs who go into rescue and with the economy the way it is, well I know my chances of finding a better home are pretty slim. But maybe somebody could help me out and give me a real home, with some decent food, the stuff they are feeding me here, well I keep nudging the straw in my kennel over it but they keep feeding it to me...oh well, beats nothing I guess. The nice neighbor lady is doing this for my Grandmom who can't seem to find me a good home on her own. So here's the deal, I need a good home. Heck, even an average home! Surely there is someone out there who can do a little bit more with me than keep me in this broken down kennel.
