Astro came into our PT program a gangly puppy and is now a mature dog. He is in terrific shape and a good looking boy to boot! He gets along well with other dogs and would love to have a home of his own.
All of our "P.T." dogs go through obedience training, household manners, and socialization, both canine & human. Each one is normally enrolled in the program for at least 8 wks. If they complete their 8 wks and they don't get adopted, then they just continue training! (MUM commits for the lifetime of each dog we take in) We have a few "seasoned" dogs that have been with us for a while. This just means that they have had continuous training throughout their "incarceration" and are quite proficient with their skills. They have also been invaluable in teaching new handlers the proper training techniques plus helping new dogs find their way in the pack hierarchy. These dogs are certainly earning their keep!
