Lost and Found

We were lost and caught wondering around,
We had nowhere to go and no food to be found.

Then we were found by someone who cared,
They called mixed up mutts where love is shared.

They took us in and fed us good.
They gave us a second chance at life when
no one else would.

Now we are trained and are vaccines are
caught up to date,
All we need now is a good home so we very patiently wait.

There are many others like us out there,
Please help us find a home with
someone who cares.

Help me believe
In what I could be

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong, as they
sometimes will. When the
road you’re trudging seems all
uphill, when the funds are
low, and debts are high.
And you want to smile, but you
have to sigh, when care is
pressing you down a bit, Rest
if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and
turns, as everyone of us sometimes
learns. And many a failure turns
about, when he might have won had
he stuck it out; Don’t give up
though the pace seems slow, You
may succeed with another blow.

Success is a failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of
doubt, And you can never tell
how close you are. It may be
near when it seems so far;
so, stick to the fight when
you’re hardest hit, It’s when
things seem worst
That you must not quit.
